Mark Yeo

President

Mark is a second-year undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) with a major in Finance at the Singapore Management University. He is a recipient of the Global Impact Scholarship Award and was placed on the Dean's List for AY 2019/20. Together with one other SEM member, his team finished as 1st Runners-Up for the GIC Asset Management Competition held during the 2020 Asia Investment & Banking Conference. Mark also emerged as an individual finalist for the Arohi Asset Management Stock Challenge held in February 2020. Over the summer of 2020, he completed an internship with a boutique private equity firm as an investment analyst.

Lucas Tang

Vice President | External Affairs

Lucas is a third-year undergraduate pursuing a double degree in Bachelor of Accountancy (BAcc) and Bachelor of Business Management (BBM), with a major in Finance. He is a recipient of the SMU Merit Scholarship. In the summer of 2019, he was part of Project Hua Tat, an overseas community service project which provided English lessons to the locals and came up with initiatives to improve eco-tourism in Hua Tat Village, Vietnam. In the same year, Lucas interned at a FinTech startup as a student consultant. Over the summer of 2020, he completed an internship at PwC as an Asset & Wealth Management Advisory Intern.

Alex Koh

Vice President | Internal Affairs

Alex is a third-year undergraduate, pursuing a Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) with a major in Finance. He is a recipient of the Global Impact Scholarship Award, SMU’s premier flagship scholarship award. Last winter, Alex led a team of students to Jaipur, India, to perform community service. Over the summer of 2020, Alex was an investment analyst intern at a Singapore-based venture capital firm. Following that, he joined the Institutional Sales team at HSBC Global Asset Management, with a focus on Fixed Income and Liquidity funds. This fall, he will join Ivory Capital Asia as an Investment Banking Fall Analyst.

Reefver Tan

Director, Middle-East & North Africa Desk | Finance & Operations

Reefver is a third-year undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor of Accountancy (BAcc) and a second degree Business Management (BBM) with a major in Finance at Singapore Management University. He is a recipient of the Lee Kong Chian Scholarship Program. Over the winter of 2018, Reefver was part of Project Neora, an overseas community service project in West Bengal, India, providing holistic education to secondary school children and homestay workshops to community members. He was also a part of Project Grasya in 2019, a project in Manilla which provided lessons to local school children. Reefver interned at HSBC over the summer of 2019 under the financial reporting & compliance team.

Long Xin Yi

Director, India Desk | Training

Xin Yi is a third-year undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor of Economics (BSc) with a second degree in Business Management (BBM) at Singapore Management University. In recognition of her academic excellence, she was placed on the School of Economics Dean's List for AY2018/2019. She was a finalist in EY Corporate Finance Women of the Year '19 competition and will be embarking on a summer internship with EY. She also interned at a consulting firm in 2018 and a private capital raising company in 2020.

Meghna Kansal

Director, South-East Asia Desk | Training

Meghna is a third-year undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Economics (Bsc) with a double major in Finance at the Singapore Management University. During the winter of 2019, Meghna embarked on a community service project in her hometown, Gurgaon where she was involved in teaching and mentoring underprivileged students with the Vidya Organisation. Over the summer of 2019, she interned with Ernst and Young, Delhi where she worked on the US-China Trade War project for the Central Government of India under the department of Government Advisory.

Derrick Fung

Director, Commonwealth of Independent States Desk | Events

Derrick is a second-year undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor of Accountancy (BAcc) and Business Management (BBM) at the Singapore Management University. During the winter of 2019, he took part in the SMU FACT-ICAEW Accounting Business Challenge, where his team made it to the final round and clinched 1st Runners' Up. Together with one other SEM member, his team finished as 1st Runners-Up for the GIC Asset Management Competition held during the 2020 Asia Investment & Banking Conference. Derrick is currently part of the organising committee for Project Moolah which aims to inculcate the importance of financial literacy to secondary school students.

Amy Nguyen

Director, Sub-Saharan Africa Desk | Marketing

Amy is a second-year student pursuing a Bachelor of Business Management (BBM). She is currently working as an Investment Analyst at ABBPE, a private equity firm focusing on investments in Vietnamese SMEs. Aside from her role in SMU Emerging Markets, she is also the Events Director of ICON - Chao Vietnam Community.

 

Joshua Chu

Director, Latin America Desk | Events

Joshua is a second-year undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) at the Singapore Management University. He is a recipient of the Global Impact Scholarship Award and was placed on the Dean's List for AY 2019/20. His academic interests lie primarily in case consulting and financial analysis. Aside from his role in SMU Emerging Markets, he is an avid percussionist in SMU Samba Masala, the school’s gig-performing Afro-Brazilian percussion group.

Jax Khor

Director, Central & East Asia Desk | Marketing 

Jax is a third-year undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) with a major in Quantitative Finance in Singapore Management University. He is an active volunteer at ACRES involved in wildlife conservation. He is currently interning at Atradius Trade Credit Insurance as a Risk Underwriter.
