Min Wun, President
Min Wun

President

Min Wun graduated with a Bachelor of Business Management with a major in Finance. He is a recipient of the ASEAN Undergraduate Scholarship and was recognised in the Lee Kong Chian School of Business Dean’s List AY2014/2015 and AY2015/2016 for his academic excellence. An individual who believes in giving back to the community, Min Wun was also part of two overseas community service projects where his team conducted educational programmes for children in Cambodia. Over the summer of 2016, he completed an internship in the advisory department of PricewaterhouseCoopers Myanmar, giving him a valuable opportunity to work in an exciting frontier market in the South East Asian region. During the summer of 2017, he embarked on an internship with UBS in the investment banking chief operating office.

Kenny Ang Yong Kang, Vice President

Vice President

Kenny graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Economics) at Singapore Management University. In recognition of his academic excellence, he was placed on the School of Economics Dean’s List for AY2014/15 and AY2015/2/016. Prior to joining Singapore Management University, he completed a three-month internship with the Ministry of Finance. Over the summer of 2015, Kenny spent five weeks in Kenya with SMU Pendeza, equipping underprivileged children with skills to seek better opportunities. Kenny has completed an internship with Changi Airport Group over the summer of 2016.

Director, Africa Desk | Operations & IT

Samuel is a fourth year undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor of Science (Economics) at Singapore Management University and in his second year, he aims to pursue a second major in Finance. In view of his academic excellence, he was placed on the School of Economics Dean’s List for AY2015/2016. Concurrently, Samuel is active in the School of Economics by joining the programmes committee to plan for Economics (Oikos) Day 2016. Over the summer of 2016, Samuel was also the Finance Director of Project Agape VI: Kashgar, an overseas community service project to XinJiang, China to promote racial integration. He has embarked on an internship with United Capital Consultancy as a business financing consultant.

Jiang Yu Chen

Jiang Yu Chen, Director

Yuchen graduated with a Bachelor of Business Management with a major in Finance. Prior to SMU Emerging Markets, he had completed an internship at Lion City Capital as a business analyst. Over the summer of 2016, he completed an internship with Wilmar that enabled him to explore his interest in the commodities business. During the summer of 2017, he embarked on an internship with ADM (Archer Daniels Midland) as a business analyst.

Harshit Moosaddee, Director
Harshit Moosaddee

Director, South East Asia Desk | Finance

Harshit graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Economics) with a major in Actuarial Science. In view of his academic excellence, he was placed on the School of Economics Dean’s List for AY2014/2015 and AY 2015/2016 and was also the recipient of the School of Economics Scholarship AY2015/16. Prior to Emerging Markets, he was the Vice-President of SMU Cricket. Over the summer of 2015, he was involved in a community service project: Project Education which was aimed at educating and empowering orphans. Over the summer of 2016, he completed an internship stint with a consulting firm, Pioneer Consulting Asia. During the summer of 2017, he embarked on an internship with Credit Suisse in the risk department.

Tan Yi Qi, Director
Tan Yi Qi

Director, Latin America Desk | Training

Yi Qi graduated with  a Bachelor of Science (Economics). Yi Qi was a part of Project Khmer Smiles III, where he helped develop the project’s IT lesson plan for the student beneficiaries in Cambodia. In March 2016, Yi Qi was part of a SEM team that participated in the Singapore Business Case Competition organized by NTU Business Solutions. The team’s analysis and recommendations impressed the judges which allowed them to emerge semi-finalists. Prior to joining SMU Emerging Markets, Yi Qi was the Logistics Director for the annual School of Economics freshman camp (Oikos Camp 2015). Over the summer of 2016, Yi Qi has completed an internship with Olam International as an analyst. During the summer of 2017, he embarked on an internship with KPMG in infrastructure advisory.

Sherwin graduated with a Bachelors in Business Management with a double major in Finance and Marketing. Prior to joining Singapore Management University, he completed a two-month internship with DBS Bank Ltd (Credit Administration). During the summer of 2016, he has completed an internship with DBS Bank as a Business Analyst to further his interest in investment and trading technology. Over the summer of 2017, he embarked on an internship with Standard Chartered in the investment banking division.

Jason Chin, Director
Jason Chin

Director, India Desk | Marketing

Jason is a fourth year undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor of Accountancy at Singapore Management University. In recognition of his academic excellence, he was placed on the School of Accountancy Dean’s List for AY2015/2016. In Year 1, Jason served as the Events Director of the School of Accountancy Volunteers’ Corp, through which he had the privilege of serving as an ambassador of SOA. Jason is also a co-leader of Project Rainbow IV, an overseas community service project headed for Yun Nan in the winter of 2016. During the summer of 2016, he has completed an internship with Red Dot Ventures as a Venture Capital Analyst. Over the summer of 2017, he embarked on an internship with UOB in the corporate banking department.

 

 

 

Lisa graduated with a Bachelor of Business Management. During the winter of 2014, Lisa travelled to Nepal as part of Project Namaste IX, where she worked in the Education Committee to develop English and IT training lessons for the students and teachers there. During the summer of 2016, Lisa completed an internship with MTU Asia where she worked as a business analyst. Over the summer of 2017 she embarked on an internship with Ernst & Young in the operational transaction advisory department.
