Mark Yeo

Mark is a second-year undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) with a major in Finance and Sustainability. He is a recipient of the Global Impact Scholarship Award and was placed on the Dean's List for AY 2019/20. Together with one other SEM member, his team finished 1st Runners-Up for the GIC Asset Management Competition held in conjunction with the 2020 Asia Investment & Banking Conference. In 2020, Mark completed an internship with a boutique private equity firm and subsequently with the enterprise banking division of a regional bank.

Reefver Tan

Reefver is a third-year undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor of Accountancy (BAcc) and a second degree Business Management (BBM) with a major in Finance. He is a recipient of the Lee Kong Chian Scholarship Program. Over the winter of 2018, Reefver was part of Project Neora, an overseas community service project in West Bengal, India, providing holistic education to secondary school children and homestay workshops to community members. He was also a part of Project Grasya in 2019, a project in Manilla that provided lessons to local school children. Reefver interned at HSBC over the summer of 2019 under the financial reporting & compliance team and will be joining an investment bank as a S&T intern in Summer 2021.

Derrick Fung

Derrick is a second-year undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor of Accountancy (BAcc) and Business Management (BBM). He is the recipient of the SMU SOA Aspiration Scholarship Award, as well as the SOA Academic and CIRCLE Excellence (ACE) Award 2020.  Together with one other SEM member, his team finished as 1st Runners' Up for the GIC Asset Management Competition as well as the SMU-ISCA Case Competition 2020. His team also represented Singapore and clinched 1st Runners' Up in the ICAEW China & Southeast Asia Business Challenge 2020. He is currently an associate consultant at Thrive Social Consulting. Over the fall of 2020, Derrick interned at an asset management firm and will be interning at Unilever in the summer of 2021.

Jax is a third-year undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) with a major in Quantitative Finance at Singapore Management University. He is an active volunteer at ACRES involved in wildlife conservation. He is currently interning at Eurex Singapore under the Equity & Index Sales division.

Lucas Tang

Lucas is a third-year undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor of Accountancy (BAcc) with a major in Finance. He is a recipient of the SMU Merit Scholarship. In the summer of 2019, he was part of Project Hua Tat, an overseas community service project which provided English lessons to the locals and came up with initiatives to improve eco-tourism in Hua Tat Village, Vietnam. In the same year, Lucas interned at a FinTech startup as a student consultant. He has also completed internships in PwC Singapore, in the Asset & Wealth Management Advisory team as well as the Strategic Solutions and Turnaround Group.

Long Xin Yi

Xin Yi is a third-year undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor of Economics (BSc) with a second degree in Business Management (BBM) at Singapore Management University. In recognition of her academic excellence, she was placed on the School of Economics Dean's List for AY2018/2019. She was a finalist in EY Corporate Finance Women of the Year '19 competition and completed a summer internship with EY. She had also interned at a consulting firm in 2018 and a private capital raising company in 2020.

Joshua Chu

Joshua is a second-year undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) at Singapore Management University. He is a recipient of the Global Impact Scholarship Award and was placed on the Dean's List for AY 2019/20. His career interests lie in asset and wealth management, global markets, and corporate finance. Aside from his role in SMU Emerging Markets, he is an avid percussionist in SMU Samba Masala, the school’s gig-performing Afro-Brazilian percussion group. He is currently a Junior Portfolio Spring Analyst at Lumen Capital Investors, a multi-asset family office based in Singapore and Hong Kong.

Christine Ng

Christine is a second-year undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) with a major in Marketing. She spent the winter of her freshman year in Nepal, teaching local students fundamental business concepts and guiding them to start their own businesses. Aside from her role in SMU Emerging Markets, Christine is also the Events Director at The Mentoring Circle, serving to build a more cohesive SMU community. Outside of school, Christine can be spotted exploring cafes and trying out good food with Burpple Beyond.

Alex is a third-year undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) with a major in Finance. He is a recipient of the Global Impact Scholarship Award (GISA). He previously interned with the Institutional Business team at HSBC Global Asset Management. He also interned at Ivory Capital Asia, an independent boutique investment bank, where he was involved in M&A and capital raising transactions. He is currently a Private Equity Intern at Dymon Asia Capital, where he is involved in Southeast Asia growth equity investments. In his free time, he enjoys playing sports, hiking, and travelling.

Meghna Kansal

Meghna is a third-year undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor of Economics (BSc) at Singapore Management University. Over the summer of 2019, she interned with Ernst and Young, working on a project for the Central Government of India. Later that year, Meghna embarked on a community service project in her hometown, Gurgaon where she was involved in teaching and mentoring underprivileged students with the Vidya Organisation. She had also interned at a Fintech startup company in the summer of 2020. Aside from her role in SMU Emerging Markets, she is involved in pro-bono consulting projects for social enterprises. She is currently interning at Ipsos under the Market Strategy and Understanding team.

Amy Nguyen

Amy is a second-year student pursuing a Bachelor of Business Management (BBM). She is currently working as an Investment Analyst at ABBPE, a private equity firm focusing on investments in Vietnamese SMEs. Aside from her role in SMU Emerging Markets, she is also the Events Director of ICON - Chao Vietnam Community.
