Bobby graduated with a double degree in Business Management and Accountancy at the Singapore Management University where he was an honored recipient of the Lee Kong Chian Scholars Programme. He was part of a volunteer group that spread the knowledge of entrepreneurship in the state of Arunachal in India in winter 2011. In summer 2012, he embarked on a second volunteer mission to Buriram in Thailand where he helped the students improve their command of English. Bobby has strong interests in the development of China and Southeast Asia.

In summer 2013, Bobby interned at O&L Consultancy Services and focused his efforts on market entry strategy for Fast Moving Consumer Goods into China and Indonesia. In December, he furthered his interests in the FMCG sector as a Finance Intern at Johnson & Johnson Asia Pacific Consumers Division where he was mainly involved in projects relating to financial analysis of the company's products across 15 markets. He completed his final internship as an FMP intern in the oil and gas department of General Electric. Upon graduation, he commenced his full-time employment at Johnson & Johnson under the finance leadership development programme.

Serene Khoo, Vice President

Vice President

Serene Khoo graduated with a double degree in Accountancy and Business Management at the Singapore Management University. She was a semi-finalist in the Bain & Co. Case Challenge 2012 and was an honored recipient of the SMU Scholarship Programme. Serene has completed internships with the Ministry of Trade and Industry's Emerging Markets Division and EY Singapore's Financial Services (Assurance) Division, and will be embarking on an internship in Mastercard's Strategy and M&A Department in the summer of 2014. She pioneered the first instalment of Project Polaris (2014), an overseas volunteer project to Chiang Mai, Thailand, and has also previously been on the Executive Committee of Project Formosa 2013: SMUsic Box, an overseas volunteer project serving a girls' and children's home in Taichung, Taiwan. She has commenced her employment as an associate consultant at Synechron Business Consulting.

Andy Liew, Director
Andy Liew

Director, Africa Desk | Finance & Training

Andy Liew graduated with a Bachelor in Business Management (Finance) from Singapore Management University. Andy has extensive experience in leadership and facilitation. Andy was invited by SMU Office of Student Life (Sports) in 2012 to restructure the school's gym operations as a Gym Supervisor for a year. He also served as a Teaching Assistant to former Singapore Parliament MP Dr. Augustine Tan for the module of International Economics. To challenge himself further, Andy has participated in various school-wide competitions and eventually emerged as a finalist in both AmFraser-NUS Stock Pitch Challenge 2014 and CFA Institute Research Challenge 2014. Academic-wise aside, Andy has gained exposure in the financial industry and completed internships with several multinational firms, such as Visa Inc., Wilmar International, Frontier Strategy Group, Partners Group. He is currently working with BlackRock covering SEA Retail Sales. Last but not least, Andy is a firm believer of social entrepreneurship and was part of the pioneering team for Project Gazaab that went to Arunachal Pradesh, India to encourage the entrepreneurial spirit in impoverish Indian youths, who are entrapped in poor socio-economic conditions.

Adhitia Budiarjo Sembiring, Deputy Director
Adhitia Budiarjo Sembiring

Deputy Director, Africa Desk | Finance & Training

Adhitia graduated with a double degree in Business Management and Economics at the Singapore Management University. He was an ASEAN undergraduate scholar (2011-2015) and listed in LKCSB Dean’s List from 2011-2013. Adhitia worked with Far East Org (Property Sales) and Bank Mandiri (Corp Banking) Indonesia. He also completed a 9-month internship with DNB IBD. His other achievements include SMU champion team for CFA challenge 2014, the runner-up team for the SBCC 2014, and SEM team for BNP Paribas Ace Manager 2014 where the team ranked top 10% globally (2nd in SMU and 3rd in Indonesia). He has joined Credit Suisse IBD as a summer analyst in 2014 and has completed his senior thesis paper on capital markets in Southeast Asia during his final year.

Bryan Ng Ee Shie, Director

Director, Central & East Asia Desk | Operations

Bryan is currently a final year undergraduate pursuing a double degree in Business Management (Finance) and Social Sciences (Political Science). Apart from serving as an executive member in SMU Emerging Markets, Bryan has also led in other capacities. In 2012, he headed the planning committee for the LKCSP NSMen Interviews. In the following year, Bryan participated in the Harvard in Asia Program, a conference aimed at connecting Harvard undergraduates with their peers from leading Universities in Asia through two conferences, one held in Harvard University and the other in SMU. Bryan was also part of the SMU Ambassadorial Corps and has participated diligently in helping SMU reach out further to external partners. An avid political science undergraduate, Bryan enrolled in the Pembroke-King's Summer Programme at Cambridge University in the summer of 2013 and achieved distinctions in Foreign Policy Analysis, Development of Cities and Finance courses. He was also the proud recipient of AY2012/13, 13/14 Lee Kong Chian School of Business Dean's List Award. In the summer of 2014, Bryan undertook a research internship at Frontier Strategy Group and has been involved in the research of emerging markets in Asia Pacific. Having an interest in management consulting, Bryan has completed previous internships in Allianz and L.E.K. Consulting and has completed an internship at Bain Consulting over the summer of 2016.

Jarod graduated with a degree in Economics and a second major in Finance. He has been placed on the School of Economics Dean's list for AY2012/13 & AY2013/2014. In 2013, Jarod completed a summer internship with the Ministry of Trade & Industry, Emerging Markets Division. He will be embarking on an internship with ICAP Asia Pacific as a Money Markets & Global Brokering intern in the summer of 2014. Jarod was also part of the team that represented SMU in the Future China Youth Forum, and was invited to be a delegate at the Future China Global Forum 2013. Jarod was also awarded the Best Research Desk Award and the Best Deputy-Director award 2013 in recognition of the desk's research excellence, contributions, and commitment. Upon graduation, Jarod has commenced a full time employment with Deutsche Bank under the Markets division.

Mattias Lim Sheng
Matthias Lim Sheng

Director, India Desk | Marketing & IT

Matthias Lim graduated with a degree in Business Management (Finance) at the Singapore Management University. As one of the top students in his cohort, Matthias was invited to be a member of SMU’s Beta Gamma Sigma Chapter – an International Honour Business Society and has been on the school’s Dean’s List for AY2012/13 & 2013/14. He was also a HSBC ambassador and has completed internships at Nomura as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst, The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as a Case Team Analyst (Summer), PrimePartners Corporate Finance as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst, United Overseas Bank as an Investor Relations and (Banks) Research Summer Analyst and Bank of Singapore as a Private Banking Business Development Analyst. He has commenced full time employment at Nomura in the Investment Banking Division upon his graduation. Matthias also founded the SMU India Industry Leaders Talk Series in 2013, in collaboration with India Initiatives. The talk series was the first school-wide event organised by SEM, where industry leaders such as Mr Sat Pal Khattar and Mr Piyush Gupta share valuable insights on India & the emerging markets, as well as network with SMU students. Matthias is also the founder of the SMU Bone Marrow Donor Programme, which holds an annual bone marrow donor registry drive in school with the goal of helping leukemia patients find their rare donor match. After stepping down from his directorship at SEM, Matthias was awarded with the “Best Industry Outreach Award” in recognition of the India desk’s excellent contributions in establishing partnerships with external Industry stakeholders for the club.

Wayne graduated with a double degree in Accountancy and Business Management (Finance) at the Singapore Management University. He was an honored recipient of the SMU Scholarship Programme and has been on the Dean's List for AY 2012/13 & 2013/14. Wayne has completed internships with  IncuVest and as an Investment Analyst under the Asset Management arm of FPA Financial. Together with Kevin, he founded and led Project Meraki, an overseas volunteer project to Phnom Penh, Cambodia which serves to inspire a sense of community spirit among future leaders of developing nations. Wayne was also part of the Founding Committee of the SMU India Industry Leaders Talk Series and has co-led his desk to attain the 'Best Industry Outreach Award' in recognition of the networks and relationships forged with external organizations. Upon graduation, Wayne has commenced a full time employment with Morgan Stanley as an equity research analyst.

Director, Latin America Desk | Events

Kevin is a final-year undergraduate pursuing a degree in Business Management at Singapore Management University. Kevin was in the Executive Committee of Project Metta 3, an inaugural Overseas Community Service Project to Taunggyi, Myanmar, serving as Programs Director for the Project. The Project was organized by the SMU Myanmar Community, and forged closer links between the school and the student community in Taunggyi. Kevin has prior work experience at Andrew Ee & Co. in the summer of 2012. Kevin's past experiences include completing an internship at the Ministry of Trade and Industry under the Emerging Markets Division and enrolling in Harvard Summer School where he has taken Strategic Management over the period of two months.

Grace graduated with a degree in Business Management (Marketing). Her interests and strengths lie in strategy and management, having held many leadership positions and an internship with McKinsey Singapore in her second year. She also emerged 1st runner up in Bain & Co Case Competition 2013, as well as 2nd runner up in CFA Case Challenge 2013. Previously, she had delved into the marketing strategy arena, pursuing a Creative Strategy internship at Innovation Kitchen, a new yet budding design agency that has created renowned designs such as the Johnnie Walker Blue Label City Series. Her past internships also include a public relations intern at Loius Vuitton and she is currently working as a business analyst in Deloitte Consulting.

Jermyn Ng, Director
Jermyn Ng

Director, Middle East & North Africa Desk | Marketing & IT

Jermyn graduated with a degree in Business Management undergraduate (Operations). He was placed on the Lee Kong Chian School of Business Dean's list for AY 2011/12 and AY 2012/13. Jermyn will be embarking on Nielsen's Fast Forward Program in July 2014. He did an internship with Michael Page International during the summer of his first year and in an SME in his second year. Jermyn was also the F&B director for Patron's Day 2013 which saw a record turnout in the event's 13 year history. In 2013, Jermyn took part in the Middle East Case Challenge organised by NUS Tembusu and the Middle East Institute where the team went on to clinch 2nd runner up. Jermyn also took on the role of programmes director for Project Shining Lights where the team went to Thailand to aid a CDC focusing on alleviating the lives of the Burmese community in Thailand. He has previously completed an internship with Nielsen at the Consumer Insights Division and has commenced full time employment with Team Jaguar under the Investment and Risk Management Division upon graduation.

Goh Si-Pei, Deputy Director

Deputy Director, Middle East & North Africa Desk | Marketing & IT

Goh Si-Pei graduated with a degree in Business Management (Corporate Communications) from the Singapore Management University (SMU). Si-Pei had previously interned in the Headhunting Department for Sales and Marketing of a professional recruitment consultancy firm, Robert Walters Singapore. She has also worked as an Account Executive on accounts ranging from FMCG to Finance during her summer 2012 internship with the fourth-largest advertising agency in the world, J. Walter Thompson (JWT). With her savviness in social media, Si-Pei was subsequently appointed Community Manager for Kit Kat Singapore Facebook as a freelance role which required creativity in strategizing daily posts for branding and promotion purposes. Her keen interest in the emerging markets has led her to participate and emerge as the top SMU team and 2nd runner up in the Middle East Case Challenge 2013. Si-Pei was also awarded Best Analyst out of 40 analysts for her outstanding performance in her Co-curricular Activity, SMU Emerging Markets. Her belief that “good is enemy of great” has spurred her to constantly push herself to step out of her comfort zone, instead of resting on her laurels. As such, Si-Pei hopes to venture into the emerging markets and spearhead businesses related to FMCG or even fashion in the near future.

Hector Tan, Director
Hector Tan

Director, Russia Desk | Events

Hector graduated from Singapore Management University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Social Science (Summa Cum Laude), and double majors in Political Science and Strategic Management . He was an honored recipient of the SMU Scholarship and was on the Dean’s List for AY2010/11, 2011/12 & 2012/13. Hector is currently a Business Analyst (Strategy & Operations) with Deloitte Consulting, and has worked on a post-merger integration for a pharmaceutical major. Previously, he completed internships at Veritas Private, Microsoft, IE Singapore in Africa, Singapore Economic Development Board, and Cargill. In addition, Hector participated with SEM in the Middle East Institute-Tembusu Case Challenge 2013 and achieved 2nd runner-up. Hector also served on the Executive Committees of SMU Muay Thai as well as SMU Recreational Fishing. In 2012, he competed in the Muay Thai Open Invitational Championships 3 and obtained Gold in a novice category.

Tanjay Saigal, Director

Director, South East Asia Desk | Resource Management

Tanay graduated with a Bachelor of Business Management degree (Finance and Accountancy) from Singapore Management University. Tanay previously served as both the Finance Director and the President of the SMU Cricket club. Tanay also co-led an overseas community service project called Hue Dreams to Hue, Vietnam in December 2011. In addition to the above, Tanay is a certified financial trainer as part of the Citi-SMU Financial Literacy Programme. Despite being actively involved in co-curricular activities, Tanay’s outstanding academic performance allowed him to qualify for LKCSB’s Dean’s List for the academic year 2011-12. Tanay's prior work experience includes a Sales and Trading internship with Macquarie Capital Securities, an Investment Banking internship with Standard Chartered Bank, a term-time private equity internship at Pinetree Capital Management and, a term-time internship at HB Capital, a Singapore-based long/short hedge fund. He will be commencing employment with Goldman Sachs Investment Banking Division in Singapore in August 2014 as a full-time analyst.

Michael graduated with a degree in Social Science (Sociology) with a second major in Finance from the Singapore Management University. Michael has had prior internship experience with Citibank N.A. as a corporate banking analyst dealing with top-tier corporates in various sectors. He has also worked with Africa Southeast Asia Chamber of Commerce in project management and developing business ties between African and Southeast Asian firms. Michael was the leader of Project SMILE Manila 3, an International Volunteer Project reaching out to sexually abused girls in Manila. Additionally, he was also the Head of Sponsorship and Fundraising team in the project, securing sponsorships and raising a total of $5000 towards the cause. An avid finance undergraduate, Michael enrolled in the summer school programme at Universität St. Gallen, Switzerland in 2012 for the “Banking & Services” module, which featured visits to UBS AG and LGT Group.

Glenn Hann, Deputy Director
Glenn Han

Deputy Director, South East Asia Desk | Resource Management

Glenn Han graduated with a degree in Business Management (Finance) from the Lee Kong Chian School of Business, Singapore Management University. Glenn participated in Project Bethlehem, a new overseas community project initiative to the slums of Cebu in The Philippines in 2011, which benefited over 200 dumpsite children. In 2012, he attended Universität St. Gallen (Switzerland) to read Banking & Services and Doing Business in Europe. In addition, Glenn completed a summer internship at OCBC’s Group Finance Department and a winter internship with OCBC’s Global Corporate Banking Department. Glenn completed two internships in the summer of 2013, as an FX and Business Management Intern in one of Singapore's Top 100 SMEs and at UBS Investment Bank’s Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC) Department. Glenn competed in the 2014 Thomson Reuters Investment Challenge and was ranked amongst the top performers. His past internships include working at Citi in the summer of 2014 as a Global Markets Summer Analyst (FX Sales).
